Personality
:

[+] COMPASSIONATE
Ororo is strong and just, and has a very strong sense of compassion, most evident in her strong compulsion to help and uplift those who are struggling. She often going out of her way to help and uplift those who cannot stand up for themselves. She extends this not only to mutants (though mutants are often her main priority), but to anyone at a disadvantage: minorities, children, anyone who needs support. It first manifests even before her tenure on the X-Men: Professor Xavier discovers her in the Sahara helping locals suffering from drought by bringing rain. It persists when she takes Kitty Pryde under her wing in the early days of the X-Men, fostering friendships with Kurt and Piotr and even Logan.

Her compassion grows in scale as she experiences more of the world and the universe. She extends help to the Morlocks, offers help to mutants outside of the X-Men's jurisdiction by establishing the X.S.E. (a global X-Men team). After M-Day she reminds Scott that there are mutants outside the X-Men's usual scope who need her help (many of them across Africa). In her solo series, her very first story was about helping defend an island  town against encoaching capitalist developers looking to evict residents to build a beach resort on their homes. She does not sacrifice justice for compassion, though, as one of her main leadership roles was to lead the X.S.E., an investigative branch of the X-Men that looks into mutant-related crime all over the world. She either helps mutants defend themselves, or helps victims against mutants who may or may not have put others in danger.

[-] ARROGANT
Ororo is a very capable, skilled and respected woman, of many powers and of many titles (bestowed and earned). She is confident, self-assured, strong, has many feats to her name. She herself acknowledges that she has been: a leader, a queen, a goddess. Kings, tyrants and despots have seen the power she commands just by breathing and want her for it.

"And why shouldn't they!" is usually the reaction to that. But this arrogance often results in one of her greatest weaknesses: taking on more responsibilities than she should, making costly decisions because a gamble she made failed, people suffering for something she couldn't deliber as promised. She makes bold, arrogant claims to serve and protect people, but more than once she has failed to protect them in times of great need. It happened with the Morlocks in the 80s - she fought Callisto for the right to lead them, won, led bothe X-Men and the Morlocks for a time, but when the Marauders came to attack the Morlocks she was occupied with X-Men business. It happened when she married T'Challa and became queen to Wakanda and she had to split her time between the X-Men (serve and protect mutantkind) and her husband's people - this splits her loyalty in Avengers Vs X-Men (she would ultimately stick to protecting mutantkind). It happens when she declares herself the Voice of Arakko (a nation of battle-hardened mutants) who are attacked by Eternals and she once again fails to get there early enough to fend off the worst of the attacks because, she had other matters to attend to.

Her pride extends to after failure as well - because she takes the failure to heart, and on her own shoulders even though it is not truly solely her fault. Kitty dies at Shaw's hand, alone. Ororo had been ferrying mutants in need to Krakoa - so it is not Storm's fault at all, but Ororo feels guilty for it anyway. Still, she seeks to prove herself all the time. Because she is capable of so much, because she knows she has certain influence, she will always make the effort to lift up everyone who needs her assistance.

[-] RUTHLESS
Ororo has a regal serenity that's both part of her natural personality and borne of her powers. Her emotions influence the weather, so it's become necessary for her to have a long temper. However when it is triggered, Storm becomes almost explosively ruthless and scary. It manifests in rather dramatic fashion - lightning bolts, inclement weather - but also in serious threats to kill. She's had to be held back (by Wolverine!) from killing Emma when she first tampered with Ororo's mind. Nightcrawler has had to talk her down from lighting up an anti-mutant gathering that spread hateful speech to their face. In battle, she is not afraid of literally taking beating hearts from bodies if it means preventing a bomb from going off (she did this to Marrow when she fixed a bomb to her heart). Of course, Ororo is someone who will look at all possible options to save everyone (instead of sacrificing one or a few for the benefit of all), but sometimes it means making tough calls, and Storm is capable of making that call when it comes down to the wire. She can, and will, snatch the air from her foes' lungs or tosses a well-aimed knife into her enemies' eyes if she deems it necessary.

[-] DISTANT
Storm has a surprisingly small circle of genuinely close friends. She is regarded as a one of the kinder and more welcoming members of the X-Men, establishes relationships with much of the team over the years, and is always ready to offer advice and counsel... but she trusts very few with who she is beyond being "teacher, leader, queen, goddess". This distance also results in her not truly knowing too many people in return. Her advice can be sound, but not always appropriate or even welcome. And there are times that Ororo doesn't quite know what to do or what to offer if someone does not take kindly to her approach. She's been called a sell-out and "removed" more than once, when she's tried to offer assistance. This is part of why she was so antagonized by Callisto of the Morlocks - how can Storm offer to help them or even begin to understand them, when her powers are regarded so fondly, when Ororo herself is beautiful enough to pass among the general, human public?

Perhaps that's why she has few attachments over her long publication history? She isn't one to make deep friendships easily (because trauma, because powers, because she holds herself apart to set an example to others), and her responsibilities often come first before her relationships. Yes, she learned how to be a best friend with Jean, fostered a close, quasi-parental-mentorlike role to Kitty, became comerades-partners-confidants with Logan, Kurt, Remy, even a wife to T'Challa for however brief a time, but these are exceptions rather than the norm. She's slow to trust others to come close enough to see what she's like when she's just 'Ro. Yukio has said that there's a free spirit in her that's  just waiting to be liberated, and she often puts a lid on that. Logan says there's been a bad girl hiding in her all this time, she just rarely lets it out. Few have seen these sides to her, always only when she allows herself to be vulnerable, and it will take a lot of time and effort for her to open up and trust others to build close relationships in Duplicity.

Powers and Abilities:

Weather Manipulation

Storm can manipulate the weather around her with a thought - that is, call forth rain, hail, snow and sleet, summon winds, fogs, mists, tornadoes and hurricanes, generate/(re)direct lightning to strike down her enemies, and adjust temperature and pressure to her liking. Storm can also do the opposite - she is as capable of dissipating such weather conditions as she is able to summon them. Her powers also give her some resistance to extreme temperature change, as well as the physiology to withstand sudden changes in pressure since her control over the wind allows her to fly at the speed of the wind and at differing atmospheric levels.

Duplicity Nerf: I'd prefer for her to still have access to all said skills, but at a much smaller area of influence. In current canon she can establish an atmosphere where there was none for a whole planet, but in-game she'll only be able to influence the weather over several blocks, but not the entire city.

No-Powers Combat
Officially she can hold her own without powers, and has had to since she was officially depowered in the 80s. She can fight hand-to-hand so long as her opponent isn't physically large enough to overpower her via brute force. She is trained to handle firearms and some staff-combat, but she prefers to fight with knives. Ororo hides up to eight knives in her uniform. She keeps them on her person in case of a no-powers situation, which happens more often than she likes. Most recently at her current canon point, she was one of Krakoa's champions for the X of Swords event, where she faced off in a "sword" fight against Death. The enemy made her drink something (alcohol of a kind?) which made her effectively powerless, but she held her own and secured the win, left the enemy to be devoured by zombies :)

Lockpicking and general thievery
Ororo is a former thief as well. She can sneak past security and tinker with locks both manual and uh digital (Marvel tech...). She recently stole a ceremonial sword from a high securty Wakandan vault for a big X-Men event because Wakandan royalty couldn't release it to her without consequence.

Magic
Added this in case magic ever comes up as a plot point. Ororo has latent magical abilities that she herself never uses. She only really knows this due to alternate versions of her who have used it, and because her mother comes from a line of sorceresses, so it's brought up occasionally. It's being revisited in the Gambit 2022 issues so she might be retconned into knowing all this time, but just doesn't use for... whatever reason! TLDR, She has the magic, but she doesn't really use it.

Inventory:
1. Her classic tiara (lockpicks not included)
2. A knife she can slip into her ponytail. The last one in this page.
